Hello Mersy. Hello to everyone popping in and out today. The sun is shining and it's quite warm, all my chores finished, and just been to stock up the bird station. I am not sure if the birds have eaten what was on there or if the wind blew it away.


Just about to order Sainsbury's shopping, we are out to dinner this evening with some old friends, it's good to catch up.

Good afternoon all, no sign of the re-connection then Mersey? What are they playing at? I suppose they will now blame the delay on the weather.

Storm wasn't too bad here last night, no damage around as far as I could see and we have been out this morning to the local Tescos.

Didn't sleep too well last night with OH tossing and turning and groaning. As you know, he had the tooth out Tuesday. Since then he has hardly been able to open his mouth or swallow with swollen gland on that side. today back to the dentist and it is an infection (as I said yesterday when i wanted him to go to the dentist then!!!!! men!!!) So now he has anti biotics and I hope that cures it because bear and sore head don't even come near!

I am running out of ideas for 'slop' for dinner, we've had savoury mince and rice, bolognese mince sauce and mashed potatoes and tonight it is fish pie. Having said that he couldn't even eat weetabix this morning so that went out for the birds. I so hope these antiBs work fast. And I admire the patience of those who wear a carers hat. I did have a chuckle this morning though when I realised the dentist's receptionist was addressing me instead of him about seeing the dentist. Don't think he was amused but he didn't or couldn't say.

afternoon gang - glorious day here in Cardiff - sunshine all the way and not a drop of rain :-D

Morning all - sunshine and breezy down my end. More scaffolding going up to-day, as the state of our roof is worse than first thought :-( The roofers are supposed to be coming tomorrow to make a start, but as 2 weeksworth of rain in one day is forecast, I can't see that happening :-(

Sorry to hear that you're still having problems Mersey.

Need scaffolding here too, not sure of the extent of the damage to my roof, but my car broke the fall of the roof and has just been towed away

Openreach have confirmed 3 out of 9 cables have been repaired and they are continuing to work on this as a high priority. Fix time still remains 3/3.

I'm not amused :-| :-|
