I found a match.

Typed a contact message..... clicked SEND......... waited....... waited..... hohum..... finally......... ERROR MESSAGE.

Did it get sent? Check Sent Messages.......... waited........ waited....... BIG HOHUM.... waited........ finally......... surprise! surprise! ERROR MESSAGE.

I have given up contacting GR about the annoying Error Message. The usual response is (something along the lines of...) We cannot duplicate this...... BLAH BLAH BLAH.

:-( :-( :-(

Nine times out of ten:

Error
Sorry. An error has occurred
The page you were trying to load has experienced an error. This error has been logged and will be investigated.

If you hit the back button on your browser, it will return you to the page you were on, and you may like to try the action again. If you repeatedly experience the same error, please contact Customer Support.

If you were following a link from your favourites, an email or from another site, the link may have changed. We recommend returning to the home page of the Genes Reunited site, and following the existing menu options to navigate to the same content.

To return to the home page, click on the Genes Reunited logo."

After clicking on "Customer Support" and reporting the error message a few times, I gave up doing so because support told me that nothing could be done about it and that the technical people were aware of it.

Shelley

Thankyou for responding.

Sorry, but I see no point in contacting Support.

I always get the response.... We cannot duplicate this ...... what browser do you use? etc etc etc .... followed up with....... the team are aware of this problem.........!

I have given the information to Support numerous times!

Not up on this, so don't take it as gospel. maybe your download speed is not fast enough.
Or, maybe GR`s server is taking too long to load up and times out, or even both together cause the error message.

There... is that a better explanation than you get from the GR techies. :-)

from a well wisher ;-)

Thankyou BR :-D

My computer is about ten years old (at least?)

I've also tried on my husband's computer (two years old) and get the same response.

:-(

btw....... both computers get cleaned up at least once a month..... defrag, c-clean etc etc

I tried again......... Error Message.

Then I tried something different.

Instead of clicking "sent messages" in the drop-down menu, I clicked on the Inbox........ and went to Sent Messages on that page.

It worked! The message hasn't been read yet.

A "complicated" way of doing something that should be simple!

I've had the Error Message quite a lot in the last 2 weeks ............. posting on threads :-(

BUT the absence of ads has been wonderful! Opening threads, moving from page to page, etc etc have all moved much faster :-D

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 5 Apr 2014 09:32

I don't get any ads at all :-D

try signing in to au

maybe not...... you might get more Error Messages :-(

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 5 Apr 2014 23:56

There have been no ads at all on GR for the last 3 or 4 weeks .......................

GR seems to have removed them after the last lot of complaints about viruses, and weird things happening.

I get that a lot, it is so annoying when you've written a message and it can't be sent. You have to either do it again, or give up. :-0

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 6 Apr 2014 12:51

sometimes it does get sent......... and if you keep clicking the SEND button, the message gets sent multiple times!
