VI cranial nerve palsy

I have been suffering from this condition for nearly 2 weeks now. It causes double vision and pain in my left eye, which won't move to the left and makes me look a bit cross-eyed.

I have had tests carried out and was told it should resolve itself within a couple of weeks. However, I have just been reading up about it on the net and scaring myself witless. Some people say it can go on for months!

Has anyone had this problem?

Wend, hopefully it is a viral thing that has caused this (bit like a Bells Palsy) .It may just be one of these things that will take time to right itself.
Stop looking at the whats ,ifs and whys on line ...(easier said than done I know) but if you have been told it will go then it probably will ,just maybe not in the time that you were hoping for.It must be awful for you . <3 <3

Hope it clears soon Wend,, but it will clear up!

My daughter had Bells Palsy ( 7th cranial nerve inflamation).
She was a young teenager at the time and it lasted for 3 months before she had any movement on the right side of her face.
