It looks like Gizley is a Norfolk surname, so it could be used as a forename.

My grandson has, as a forename, a name that was originally a family surname, then a second or third name for generations, and now a forename :-S

Or - it could be a nickname :-D

Is the census record you are looking at for Gizley Mary Evans in Neath, Glamorgan? If it is then looking at the image it looks more like Ginley to me (the loop from the "h" in Thomas on the line below makes the "n" look like a "z".

I have seen the name Ginley before.

I still can't find a birth for a Ginley though.

EDITED - because I made a mistake with the surname.
