DON'T TELL ANYONE ;-)
.....but I have just been amusing myself watching old Watch With Mother Programmes on YouTube! :-D :-D :-D

The Woodentops (1955)

Andy Pandy (First Aired 1952)

Bill & Ben The Flowerpot Men

What programmes did you all like when you were little? :-D

All the above + Muffin the Mule.

'Listen with Mother' on the Home Service must have been just before or after the 15min children's TV slot. The TV had to 'warm up' before you could see anything ;-)

Later on in years there was Blue Peter and Crackerjack. If the contestants got a question wrong they were given a cabbage. Drop anything and you were 'out' :-D

I have watched children's programmes over 4 different time periods-
My own. My much younger sister and brother's childhoods. My daughter's and then my Grandchildren, particularly Grandson 1 who I have brought up.

Now I'm to be a Great Grandmother it will be interesting to see how the programmes have changed yet again! :-) :-) :-)

FAVOURITES OVER THE DECADES
My own Stingray, Thunderbirds, Lassie, Basil Brush, Sooty and in my teens I loved FOLLYFOOT :-)

In my younger sibling's time- Play School, Sesame Street, Looney Tunes,The Banana Splits, Black Beauty and later HAPPY DAYS was popular.

My daughter's childhood- Rainbow, The Clangers, Fingermouse, Byker Grove

My Grandson's favourites- Teletubbies, The Moomins, The Tweenies, Power Rangers, Spider-Man, Arthur, TMNT (Turtles) Balamory
My younger Grandchildren- In The Night Garden, Peppa Pig
