so you will not get nuisance calls, so goes the phonecall
I've just had from an Indian lady.

Her....Is your name and address...etc, etc, etc

Me ....No

Her...You are not Mrs etc, etc, etc

Me....No

Angry Caller...Then why are you talking to me

Me...I'm not, you are talking to me

Her...Go away then :-D :-D :-D :-D

Been registered for years not to receive these calls, never worked yet.
Reason I picked up phone because it was a withheld number and thought
it was family.

Trouble is, it doesn't apply to calls from outside the UK!

That's true Det, but I did get a good laugh
from a well spoken Indian lady.

Isn't the answer "Because I'm not proud, I will talk to anybody"?

Kense

Kense Report 6 Jul 2016 19:36

We got one today about a car accident we were supposed to have had.

A google of the phone number it came from (01548262458) showed that quite a few others had had similar calls.

I've also had that one Kense.

I stopped driving years ago due to RA.

We frequently get calls at work asking to speak to the owner of the business. We don't have one we're a charity.

However my favourite one was last week telling me they calling my home concerning an accident I apparently had within the last years. This is despite me answering the phone Hello.... charity name..... How may I help you? They then had the cheek to ask if I'd had a head injury. Apparently I must have had as I don't ever remember buying that place. I work in a five storey Georgian building that yes was once a house but buying something like that now. When they separate them into flats a two bed goes for offers over £600,000 and a five bed for offers over 1,250,000. I live in Scotland so we bid above asking price so for most average people including me it's more like if only.
