Sharron

Sharron Report 28 Sep 2016 16:53

I will be taking my bucket to the Harvest Supper on Saturday in the hope of raising another couple of bob before it goes back under the bed!

The coffee morning was held yesterday and that raised exactly £700.

My head and bacon sandwiches has, so far, raised £650.21.

Not a bad village effort I think.

The bucket has been out for the last time to the Harvest Supper and I have another £70.50 so it stands at £720.71.

Every little helps as the old lady said!

Thank you to everybody who contributed on here as well of course.

Thank you.

I was very surprised by how much people put in at the harvest supper because a lot of them wondered why there was a plastic bucket travelling about the room until it was announced and I was pointed out. You don't really expect people to have money on them at an event like that.

Anyway, i have paid it all in on-line so all the cash is mine.

If anybody does still want to donate I would say to put it in a McMillan tin if you see one. After all, the important thing is that the cancer victims get the money, not that people know I shaved my head.

Well done Sharron. People tend to respond more if they see the result of another's action than, in my opinion, they're asked to sponsor a 'jolly'.
Perhaps it's the politics of envy?

How wonderful Sharron I went to a coffee morning on Friday and donated £12 in total including a go at the raffle which needless to say I did not win a bean. ;-).
