How do I find out who lived there between 1945-1950?
Is there a site where I can find this out?

You would need to look at the electoral registers for the area (usually kept at the nearest reference library to the address). Unfortunately registers for this time are not online, although I think some people may have discs that would have this information.

Hopefully someone on here can help you.

EDIT - I think as it's London you may find the registers on Ancestry.

Not what you asked for, but might help find the names of people who might still have lived in the road.

1939 Register

Barker Household (6 People) 103 Weedington Road , St Pancras, London, England

First name(s) Last name(s) DOB Sex Occupation Marital status Schedule Schedule Sub Number
John F Barker 09 Feb 1888 Male Coach Joiner Married 298 1
Frances M Barker 05 Jun 1893 Female Unpaid Domestic Duties Married 298 2
Frances H Barnett (Barker) 25 Jan 1915 Female Leather Machinist Single 298 3
John W Barker 10 Jun 1920 Male Cabinet Maker Single 298 4
Patricia (E) Inskip (Barker) 03 Aug 1922 Female Tailoress Single 298 5
Doris E Addison 23 May 1924 Female Coil Winding Single 298 6

Was there any name in particular that you were hoping to find? Only those aged 21 or over would be shown on the Electoral Roll. As Kath says, selected years might be on Ancestry

Although Ancestry holds the ER for St Pancras, they aren't the years you're interested in.

Follow Kath's suggestion and search out physical copies of the historical ER. They'd either be held at the nearest Library with a Local Studies section, or possibly the London Metropolitan Archive (LMA)

Thanks for the reply. I am looking for the name of my grandmothers partner. She was Lily Minnie Lucy but after her husband died she had a few partners and had children by them. I know my mother Rose Lucy lived there with brother George and step sisters Joyce and Marina but there were others.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Nov 2016 11:59

Would any of the children have been 21 or over in the time frame? I'm not sure if there were boundary changes - if there were, it's worth searching anyway

Won't necessarily help, but Lily and family in 1939

Lucy Household (3 People) 16 Chalcot Square , St Pancras, London, England

First name(s) Last name(s) DOB Sex Occupation Marital status Schedule Schedule Sub Number
Lily M Lucy 04 Oct 1891 Female Unpaid Domestic Duties Widowed 168 1
CLOSED RECORD
George E Lucy 28 Nov 1921 Male Warehouseman Electrical Wholesale Single 168 3
Rose V Maulton (Lucy) 03 Nov 1923 Female Ladies Tailoress (Finisher) Single 168 4

Bearing in mind her yob, the closed record is probably a child b after 1916 rather than a partner.
She must have co-habited after then.

Have you been able to trace the step sisters birth reg or do you just have their first names?

Thank you so much , every bit of information helps but it is also really interesting.

I think Joyce and Marina were Alexandra Overton which led me to believe that the partners name was Alexandra .They wer born around 1934. There was another sibling Alex or Alick Alexandra who apparently died shortly after he married but I haven't any details for him
