Sometimes I get email from Dizzi :-)

I knew her a little bit here, and at some time we emailed, about a genealogy thing of some sort ...

Unfortunately, her email account was hacked after she died and her address book stolen. Every once in a while I get an email with her name on it, and I rescue it from the spam box and tuck it away, even though it's just some spammer using it. The spams always say: "Hello Cloonie".


Ah here we are.

I have sometimes thought we should do a DIZZI memorial hunt and try to solve the puzzle she put to me.

Herewith from her email back that time ago ... all caps in the original of course :-D

NOW THE GIRL I THINK WAS FROM A WEALTHY FAMILY SHE SAILED ON THE QUEEN ELIZABETH, STAYED IN TOP HOTELS IN NEW YORK,

HIS NAME P W H OVERALL,,,,

HERS LILY VOURVOULI BORN 13 JULY 1926,,

FOUND HIM BUT NOT HER..

I had no luck.

P W H Overall (1919-2002) is in his daughter's tree here at genesreunited. I think neither of us must have thought to search that at the time.

On line, I find a reference to a LiLLy Vourvouli in Sweden (her name is Greek), but darned if I know what it's about. I wonder? (her parents are shown as George and Georgia VourvouliS, and they traveled to NY in 1947 for example) And there are also Lilians.

I wonder whether Dizzi's suitcase of letters went back to the junk shop? :-)

Joonie, sadly I can't remember the outcome, just checked FB messages and it wasn't on there so I think Dizzi may have messaged me here, and I 'lost' a lot of old messages. I did come across some photos Dizzi sent me while I was going through old files yesterday, of some of her other charity shop finds :-)
