There was nobody on the water apart from a kayak novice and his instructor.

After some time a number of canoes came into view.

They were practising getting back in to their capsized crafts.

Out of 7 people only 2 were wearing buoyancy aids.

One of the safety personnel had a word with them (too far to hear what was said) but afterwards they beached and obviously had a re-think about their drills.

I find it scary that they would take any risks whilst being on water.

That's amazingly stupid!!
I wonder if they were part of an official group - or just people who'd bought their own kayaks.

Looked like a group of friends TBH, no official identification on any of the kayaks, not only that, there was a dog in one of them.
