Sending Special Thanks to you all, for all the efforts you are putting into the GB Relay. I am in constant touch with June, she now has an updated Press Release. Hope all goes well tomorrow, when you meet the Mayor of Chester, just wish I could be there Extra special thanks to Trixie and her Son for getting Beau Bear up to June, and of course June for being available to meet them in Blackpool. I cannot wait to do my 'bit in the relay' and have Gaynor Bear in my arms again and see Beau for the first time. Scotland I hope you are ready. We should be able to give you a definate date when I can pas GB over to you in the next two weeks, if not earlier. Jill, can you let me know who is the nearest to the Borders of Scotland please. It does not look like there is anyone now around the West Coast of Scotland, there are two members who have not been around for many months. I can deliver to any part around the borders, but I would have liked GB to see some of the west coast if possible. Jenny. xx

Jenny the only person near to the borders on the west side would be Ros, however you and I spoke before about me collecting GB from you when I was down that way on holiday late july...I can still do that

Hi Jilly, it may be possible that I collect GB from June around the last few days of July. But I cannot be definate as no one can possibly commit themselves until the very last minute, according to circumstances. I really did hope that a special meeting could be arranged around Gretna Green and I could have had a couple of days around that area. Hubby says I can book into a hotel for a couple of nights around Carlise borders and I can then get GB into Scotland. We did have members in the west of Scotland but they are no longer around. Can you let me know where abouts Ros is please via pm's. I really do need to know where all Scottish members of the relay are and also a way of contacting them. If all fails, I can travel across the borders of Scotland West to East and meet the nearest person. If that is not possible, I can bring GB back to Tynemouth and then get train up to Edinburgh or there abouts. But I really did hope GB could see some parts of the west coast of Scotland. Jenny xx

Hi Jenny, GB will see parts of the West Coast of Scotland further up North and hopefully the Isle of Skye too so dont worry about that...its just at the moment Ros is the only one on the West side across the central belt! Will PM you where about she is.... I'm down near Berwick for the week until 5th August so if GB is ready at that time I'm happy to travel on a bit during my hols to pick her up from Tynemouth from you. On the East side I'm pretty much the nearest as well as being a driver to be able to collect her. You certainly dont need to get on the train up here as I can still come down for her if its after the 5th August or meet half way.

Well, my tiny part in the great GB relay has come to an end. Collected GB from Ann and Joyce about 3pm. With grandson Adam we headed up the Wirral to a garden center where we met Teresa, her husband and two of her delightful children. We enjoyed a cup of tea and an ice-cream. The handover was carried out. One bear and her 3 bags safely moves on to the next family in this wonderful journey that Jenny thought of all those many months ago. I have been proud to take part. WELL DONE JENNY!

Have added two new photos taken today in Chester. We had a marvellous time with the Lord Mayor and had a tour round. There were two photographers there so should get good press! Lindax

GB travelled with Jeanie from Chester to the Gordale Garden Centre near Burton this afternoon to meet me, my husband and two of our children. We had a lovely cup of tea and a chat with Jeanie, her husband and grandson before taking charge of GB and her three full bags of luggage. GB had a ride in a trolley car to look at the plants and then a play on the swings and the slide. We then travelled up the motorway to Saughall Massie, Upton where GB had a salad tea and strawberries with a new bear friend. She is now getting ready for bed having shown all her clothes (with the help of Hannah) to the other bears in the house! Hopefully they will both have an early night as Hannah wants to take GB to show to her friends and have a play in the play area before school begins. Teresa

GB in WIRRAL After a fairly early night (if you call staying up to 10.30 reading Harry Potter with Hannah aged 10) GB woke and got up at 7 am, she had Cheerios for breakfast. She was then dressed in school uniform with clean knickers! She took the map we had got her with some of the places she has visited (not all as the map was smaller than I'd wanted and the dots much larger!) and is going to visit Hannah and Christophers year group at their school. The house feels rather empty! This afternoon after school we plan to go to the Scarecrow festival at Thornton Hough. She has chosen with Hannahs help the outfit that she will wear this afternoon. (The bags full of clothes is a little girls dream and I'm sure at the weekend she will be having a fashion show). Teresa

GB goes to School In the morning GB had her breakfast got dressed for school then got in the car and went to school. GB had her photo taken in the play area with my friends. Then she met my Headmaster and my teacher. My teacher said as she was a special bear she could come to school and instead of us doing Maths all of year 5 got to have an interview to her. She went out to play at every playtime. In the lessons she had some snacks and never had to do any work but found lots of information about Jamaica. At the end of school she got changed and went to the Scarecrow festival. We had to look for clues on the scarecrow trail and find the letters to make a word. GB bought her own little scarecrow and then had her photo taken with some of the scarecrows. When Christopher went to cubs GB went shopping to Sainsburys and put some sweets and chocolate in her trolley for her and Cuddles the bear to eat. GB is now eating her sweets and chocolate is going to watch a DVD before going to bed. Love from Hannah

Dear Hannah, I am so pleased that you are looking after Gaynor Bear for me. It sounds like you have had a lovely day. Please can you do me a big favour? Can you make sure GB cleans her teeth after all these sweets. I really hope you have a great time with GB and you make sure you put a special message in her autograph book just from you. Thank you for helping and looking after Gaynor Bear. Love from Mommylonglegs. xxx
