1 Do not show yourself heated up because of the evil doers Do not be envious of those doing unrighteousness. 2 Because like grass they will speedily wither, And like green new grass, they will fade away. Psalms 37: 1-2 New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures Yvette x Sorry, have deviated from the theme words

First post updated for the new week. :) Last week's verses. The theme was Hand/s SUNDAY: Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! Psalm 47 v 1 Good News Bible MONDAY: For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for he made it; for His hands formed the dry ground. Psalm 95 v 3 - 5 RSV TUESDAY:....... yet I will not forget you (says the Lord). Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed) a picture of you on the palm of each of my hands......... Isaiah 49 v 15 - 16 Amplified (portions) WEDNESDAY: And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay and you are the Potter. We are all formed by your hand. Isaiah 64 v 8 RSV THURSDAY: A person's steps are confirmed by the Lord; He establishes him and delights in his way. When he falls he shall not be down and out; for the Lord upholds his hand. Psalm 27 v 23 -24 Modern Language FRIDAY: The desert will rejoice and flowers will bloom in the wilderness...........everyone will see the Lord's splendour, see his greatness and power. Give strength to hands that are tired and to knees that tremble with weakness. Tell everyone who is discouraged, 'be strong and don't be afraid!! God is coming to your rescue, coming to punish your enemies'. Isaiah 35 v 1 - 4 GNB SATURDAY: For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say 'because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body', that would not make it any less part of the body..... So we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually members of one another...... although all the members do not have the same function. So, having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them for the good of all. 1 Corinthians 12 v 14, 15 and Romans 12 v 4, 5 RSV

But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. Mark 1 verse 30 New King James Version.

Our bodies have many parts, but the many parts make up only one body when they are all put together. If the foot says 'I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,' that does not make it any less a part of the body. And what would you think if you heard the ear say ' I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,' Suppose the whole body were an eye. Then how would you hear? But that isn't the way God has made us! The eye can never say to the hand 'I don't need you'. The head can't say to the feet ' I don't need you!' ........ all of you together are the one body of Christ and each one of you is a separate and necessary part. 1 Corinthians 12 v 12 - 27 exerpts. Modern Language. First post also updated :) Vonny

Dear friends let us love one another, because love comes from God. Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. And God showed His love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through Him. John 4 v 7-9 Good News Bible Gwyn

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4 v10 Dorothy

Young children. Then were there brought unto Him little children, that He should put His hands on them, and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And He laid His hands on them, and departed hence. Matthew 19 v 13-15. King James Bible. Gwyn

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all undersatanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4 verses 5,6,7.

Jesus heals the sick in Gennesaret. They crossed the lake and came to land at Gennesaret, where the people recognized Jesus. So they sent for the sick people in all the surrounding country and brought them to Jesus. They begged Him to let those who were ill at least touch the edge of His cloak; and all who touched it were made well. Matthew 14 v 34-36. Good News Bible. Gwyn

Our preaching tonight was based on the following: I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psalm 40 vs 1-3 A Psalm of David, I'm sure we can all remember the 'dark' days when we did not 'Know' God and yet he loved us even then - had mercy upon us, gave his only begotton Son and the faith to believe he died for our sins and placed us in His everlasting arms, forgiven and joint heirs. What a God!!!!! Praise His Holy Name. Dorothy
