Paul and Silas put thier faith in god when they were in prison. this is one of my favourite verses 'about mid night Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God. the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly, there was a big earthquake. It was so strong that it shook the foundation of the jail. Then all the doors were open. All the prisoners were freed form their chains.' and Pauls answer in verse 28 'don't hurt yourself we are all here!' Acts 16 verse 25 and 26 and 28 taken from International children's Bible

The Great Commandment. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,with all your mind. and with all your strength. The second most important commandment is this: Love your neighbour as you love yourself. There is no other commandment more important than these two Mark 12 v 30-31 Good News Bible. Bible verses from week beginning 16th July. Theme: Peace. SUNDAY: Jesus said 'Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset, do not be afraid. John 14 v 37 Good News Bible MONDAY: May the Lord Himself, who is our source of peace, give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3 v 16 GNB TUESDAY: You, Lord, give perfect peace to those that keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you. Isaiah 26 v 3 WEDNESDAY: Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5 v 1 THURSDAY: I (David) am listening to what the Lord God is saying; he promises peace to us, his own people, if we do not go back to our foolish ways. Surely he is ready to save those who honour him and his saving presence will remain in our land. Love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will embrace. Psalm 85 v 8 - 10 FRIDAY: May the Lord bless you and take care of you; may the Lord be kind and gracious to you; may the Lord look on you with favour and give you peace. Numbers 6 v 24 - 26 SATURDAY: May the God of peace provide you with every good thing you need in order to do his will, and may he, through Jesus Christ,do in us what pleases him.
