Hi Simon welcome to the boards

Bill posted this in 2006 and may not be checking the boards now for replies.

You could try to make contact by clicking on his name and sending him a private message, if his email address is still the same he will be notified

Bill,

I have just come across your posting (isn't Google wonderful?!)... & think that my fiancée is related to that family!!! She is descended from an Elizabeth Tinsley, born in Long Clawson in 1872. I'm not 100% certain how she is linked to your family, but that is my task for later today!!!

I am intrigued, because I THINK Elizabeth had an illegitimate son - my fiancée's grandfather - as I can find no marriage record for Elizabeth... she is living away from home as a servant on the 1891 census... & dies aged 26 in June 1898. Think I need to order some certificates!!

I'm not sure if you still have this bible, but I could reunite it with the right bloodline, if you were willing to part with it...

Let me know.

Simon
