Hi There Thanks for the words of welcome. Hope you are all behaving well. I live in the Streatham area of London, although not a Londoner, being born and dragged up (or so I tell my mum) in the good old county of Essex (No Essex Gals Jokes!!!!!). I work in security, and do a shift pattern of 3 days/3/nights/3 off. All 12 hour shifts - Great. Have not a telly to watch, but have radio and am allowed to use puter for a while. Speak to you all soon Liz

Good Morning Everyone, I expect some of you will know me from the other threads, so Hello to you all, new and old.Hello Mary, I hope you are enjoying your holiday . Elizabeth, I come from Essex, Walton-on-Naze to be exact, but I live in Australia now. I don't know why people make jokes about Essex girls. All the girls I know from Essex are very nice. Hope everyone is having a good day, see you again soon. Sylvia XX

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 02:41

Hi Liz and Sylvia. Luckily you're on the Aussie thread and we don't know any about Essex Girls. Please explain. Lew Lew :)

SuzyQ Report 9 Feb 2006 03:59

Hi Wattlers, Good news today. Research done in the USA, on women aged 50 to 70. Half on low fat diet, half not and proved it didn't make any difference to heart or cancer risk whichever diet you choose. Guess whos getting stuck into the ice cream, potato chips etc. Research was done by the same people who did the one on hormone replacement, so they are credible. Laurie if you need any help with Ancesrty give me a shout. Can you find antone through electrol rolls? Vonny, hope everything goes well with your DIL visa. Mary, glad that you are having a good holiday, and please wish John a very happy birthday from me. Oh, and enjoy the rasberries and with the good news today you can have as much cream as you want. Syvia, great to hear from you again. How is Norman doing and are you managing to get a few free days. Happy birthday to Ryan Anthony James. Does it make you feel old Lara? or maybe he keeps you young at heart. Welcome Lew Lew and Liz to the Wattle club, I think you will fit in nicely. Beware of Rebs she may lead you astray. Cilla, how is it going with the house move. Are you nicely settled in yet. Are we all invited to the house warming? Devly, hows the diet going. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes I was put on a low GI diet. it worked very well for a while and I lots quite a lot of weight. Unfortunately I have put most of it back on since I hurt my back and have been unable to go for my normal 5kl walks. Anna, I think you may have sent me a message and I have lost it. I am having a lot of trouble with my e-mail. I don't know if it is my ISP or Internet security. I will get to the bottom of it today I hope. All my internet security settings are correct so it must be good old Telstra again. You would think with the massive wages that they get we would have a better service. I may have to get on my soap box again. It's hot and sunny again today, no rain in sight but it is forcast for rain from tomorrow for about a week. Donna, If I had your complaint I would still be smoking. I quit cold turkey 12 years ago, and Neville did the same about 9 years ago. There are still times that I fancy a smoke but I don't think I could afford to now. Like Devly, I piled on the weight, which is the down side. Well, this is turning into a saga so I will wrap up for now Love SuzyQ

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 04:35

Thanks for the welcome SuzyQ. Not too frightened of Rebs, more concerned that Lara wants to make the corner an alcohol free zone! It will only drives us underground and that's when the trouble will start!!! Lew Lew :))))) x

Hi fellow Wattlers - I live on the Gold Coast in hot & humid Queensland. Am I allowed to join? Dianne

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 06:13

I'm only new too Dianne, but I'm sure you'll be more than welcome. I've been a GR member for a couple of years, but have only just started chatting with this lot, who have all been very friendly. Just watch out for Rebs. She has to be sent to the naughty corner every so often, but not me 'cause I'm sweet and innocent, right Lara? *holds hands over head waiting for bolt of lightning, cringe*, Lew Lew

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 06:18

Oooo, too spooky. Massive thunderstorm just struck Mudgee and there's trees down everywhere. I'm not joking! That frightened the bejesus out of me!!!! :O(((( Lew Lew

Lew Lew there's a high power than the wattlers watching Welcome to the newbys if your slightly twisted you'll fit right in Lara I received the Yarra info but wont know if I can make it til the last minute. Raining cats and dogs here now, the garden will love it. Jude3 DFO, the new one in Essendon is great, bigger than Brand Smart, daughter cost me a small fortune as usual. She just had to have a bag that was half price and some clothes, all 70% off. I did manage to buy 2 tops for me too, was really tempted with shoes but I think I would have been shot if I came home with any more so restrained myself. Besides if we get to the UK at Easter I'm sure I'll want a few Jude2

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 06:46

Hey Jude (yeah I know good song title), me thinks you have me confused with that naughty Crewella. I hear she has a thing for baileys and spotty dogs! I'm innocent, I tell you! Have managed to get home from the office in a rather round about fashion. Place is swarming with police, SES armed with chainsaws and the usual onlookers! Hubby off overseas for a month tomorrow and we're celebrating with a roast lamb dinner. Then the real trouble begins. How many shoes can one buy in a month? I'll let you know. Lew Lew

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 06:53

Oh welcome Dianne!! I think it would be easier to take up skydiving!!! Family tree research is not, I repeat not, for the Sane!!! Lew Lew

Trifley Report 9 Feb 2006 07:05

My husband's workmates think I am insane because I asked for death certificates for Christmas!

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 07:07

An unusual gift. Wish I'd thought of that! Lew Lew

Trifley Report 9 Feb 2006 07:12

That thunderstorm in Mudgee...any chance of it heading to the Gold Coast? We could do with some rain. It is a b****r having to leave the computer just to water the pot plants! Dianne

Lewella Report 9 Feb 2006 07:15

Damn long way from Mudgee to the Gold Coast! Can't promise anything. Lew Lew
