Dianne I love the Marton Way (Toby) place but would they allow Parmos;; do you know what I`m talking about?? Babs

Dianne Report 8 Nov 2005 22:43

If enough of us wanted them, I bet the chef would do them for us as long as we ordered them in advance, so that they could get the stuff in if they don't already have it. I used to work at the Hotel Royal York in Redcar and our chefs were brilliant if people required something special. Make mine pork and John's chicken please. Dianne xx

There's the Country Club at Marton if we're going to Tobys - £39 (Fri-Sun) including full English breakfast. Rooms are quite good - had my wedding reception there :)

Tracy That's not a bad price at the Marton Country Club. It was our sister hotel and we charged £32.50 donkeys years ago at the Hotel Royal York. Dianne xx

For hotels, there's a Thistle in the centre of Boro, think it used to be called the Dragonara some years ago.

Easy to find too - straight off the Parkway. Even my mum found it (she got lost coming to ours once and ended up in Sainsbury's carpark in town lol)

Somewhere fairly central, who do meals and a drink, no real need for a private room but then it depend's how many are still going at the time. If you need any help I can pop thru some time.

Predictable choice but Lloyds No.1 ain't bad, is in the centre of town, spacious (on two levels), does food and drink and not expensive.

My sister is a member of the management team at Marton Hotel & Country Club, and may be able to get a discount on room, and maybe get the chef to do parmos, I'll talk to her about it and see what she says, watch this space

CB, its not that bad up here in the North, but, we will have to see whar happens regards weather, seeing as they are saying we are in for the worse winter in10yrs;; That is why not putting def. date down yet;; and as for Stockton if you do come and make it for the Friday night I can easily take you for you research on the Sat;; Paul will do anothere count now;; Babs

Borobabs

Borobabs Report 9 Nov 2005 15:17

Right Paul we have 16, but if CB thinking of it 17+ if anyone is bringing there partners; There is a few good hotels in the Boro, but also know of 1 that is only £22 night , the Longlands Hotel clean and cheap, only 5mins from t5he town centre;; This could be a base then if we decide to do the town, ok, and then the hotel does drinks and has decent sized sitting room to use;; Babs
