Can I cum wi' ye all tae Blackpool? never bin tae the seaside. After I left Partick tae cum doon here tae live, I promised meself that I'd away tae have a look one day - the wee woman who lives next tae me says it's nae so good as Sarfend, is that a fact hen? What are cokkles and welks? Sounds like a diseese! Jenny

Lynda ~ Report 14 Nov 2005 21:54

'ello Jenny, course ya can come on the charra to Blackpool, more the merrier I say. Now then Sarfends great, had a bloomin' good time there on more than one occasion I can tell ya, my Jack was concieved there, if I were that Poshy Beck woman I'd 'ave called him Sarfend wouldn't I ha ha. Blackpool will be fun, got loads of them amusements there so bring all ya coppers wiv ya, you could come 'ome wiv a few bob if yer lucky. we'll ave some cockles and whelks and jellied eels while we're away, and you can see how wonderful they are, then you'll be a real cockney Sparra' Jen. Mildred luv, that Ma Cohen, she's a dodgy one 'er, she won at the bingo the uvver night £3.76 it was, never even bought me a cuppa tight ol gal she is. You two comin round in the mornin' for a cuppa rosy lee? Bring us a bit of yer cake Jen, you an 'alf a good cook luv. Mabel x x
