Afternoon all. What have you all been up to today? Margeret, You have had me puzzled ever since you mentioned your Brother in Law made the Finger Post in Pelsall. I kept thinking "She's pulling my leg here" The Finger Post I know is hundreds of years old. Well I have tried for ages to get a picture of it on the internet. When did they put that new one up? Where is the old wooden one? The name Allsopp rings a bell. Sure there were some at my school in Brownhills. Catch you all later, Tara a bit. Jenny

Hi Everyone, My Brother took me to the Crooked House a few years ago when I was over in England A great Pub, worth the trip, cant remember where it was but well worth the trip. Just got home from helping with a dinner at our seniors hall, we expected maybe 60 at most had around 100 turn up, but then it was a free meal, luckily we had cooked lots, so no one went home hungry. Brrrr it's CCCCold today. Cold as the feet on a frozen frog Cold as the nose on a healthy dog Cold as Charity And that's darn chilly But it ain't as cold as our poor Willy He's dead, poor soul,He's dead And I have cleaned that one up. I went shopping this morning, on my electric invalid scooter. Imagine if you can, Me in my long johns, thermal vest, woolly pullover, thick anorak, fur lined boots and a cap with ear muffs. The winter sun was shining brightly, so I had to wear my Wrap around sun glasses, and of course my thermal gloves. It is a wonder the scooter coped with all the extra weight, Weight limit 18 stones but, being a slim 13 stone 5 foot 8 chap, fit as a fiddle (with broken strings) I have a bit to spare. Mary had to peel me off when I got back home. To all our new friends I am Jim Charman, official court Jester. You will soon get used to my drivel. To answer a question, no we will welcome anyone on to our thread providing they have some connection to Brum, otherwise you will never get used to our unique sense of humour, and can understand Brummie Talk like "Wur ya bin, I ain't bin nowear I'm just guin." Jan and Rick Glad to see you back from your London trip. I am surprised they let you out of the B----y Tower( daren't fill in the proper name in case I get in trouble again) Did you get to see HRH June's country house? It's the one at the top of The Mall!!. HAHA. TWENTY SIX DAYS TO XMAS Soon be 2005. Well all for now from thawed out Jim and His warm Hearted Mary C. TWMA an

I would have liked a real one this year, but His Lordship says,"No way they make too much mess" As if he would have to clean the mess up. Men Ugggghh Jenny
