You know me, I'm from High Wycombe, we could've walked past each other at one time! Had the eldest in the General in the ward overlooking the football ground. Worked in Boots and then Bellmans (opposite Murrays).

I was born in Henley on Thames and lived in Fingest till I was 5 and started school in Turville, which I understand is the village in the Vicar of Dibley. A beautiful part of the world.

hi i live in newport pagnell, been here about 26 years, previously lived in welwyn garden city, st albans and germany left tottenham 40 years ago,went back to have a look, could it have been like that when i lived there ? marcie

I'm in Berkshire but was born in Langley (then Buckinghamshire) now Berkshire..... my relics hail from all over but I have just found a shed load of them buried at penn Street, Penn..... although I think it's High Wycombe myself!! Dee

Hi Leonard Thanks for your reply. I am researching the Norris family of Ibstone. Sarah Norris married by G.Grandfather Caleb Bird from Stokenchurch. They left the area c. 1875. Sarah's brother Jesse went with them and they ended up in Sunbury-upon-Thames. Funnily enough we came up to 'Stokie' as I affectionately call it yesterday. Regards Sarah.

Len, yes there are some good views from the hospital but I bet you weren't in maternity!! :-)) Susie, we could've used the same bed - not at the same time though!

Susie I came across a Sarah Hathaway who married a William Norris in September 1848 Wycombe 6 635. I wonder...My Norris family were from Ibstone. Sarah.
