Hi, I'd forgotten all about that, but you've jogged my memory. Mum used to make it and you're right, it's delicious. Haven't had it since I left home 55 years ago. But I can't remember it being called bacon badger, in fact can't remember what mum called it. Better not mention that meal on the losing weight board. Too high in fat, specially saturated! Di.

Hello Di Are you following me around - or is is me following you ? As yet, I haven't been to the place where you currently claim to be, so it would seem that you are in the lead. How do you pronounce it? Len

Unknown Report 24 Jan 2004 23:07

Hi Len, Maybe we're just both going round in circles. Tsawwassen is pronounced T'wossen, and is an Indian word meaning "land facing the sea". The Tsawwassen Reserve is owned by one of the 54 Coast Salish Indian Nations and is situated by the water north of Tsawwassen, and occupies about 700 acres. And they've been there since more than 2000 BC. Now aren't you glad you asked!! lol It's a wonderful place to live! Speak to you later. Di.

Di Are you living in an Indian reserve ? Did you need to marry an Indian (Native N. American) to get there? Len

Sarah I went to Ibstone church in the summer, to photograph a gravestone for someone. Do you have any rellies interred there? Len

Dawn

Dawn Report 26 Jan 2004 08:04

I think I must have Len. I am yet to establish the fact though. They probably didn't have gravestones then - too poor perhaps. Regards Sarah

Susie, Realised my Norris family did have another son called Charles. He was born in approx 1848 in Turville. So, you never know, there may be a connection to the Norris people you know. Anyway, I did warn you that I get very tied up in knots doing this didn't I? Are you keeping alright? How's your puter behaving? I went to the Bracknell Family History Fair yesterday. Basically, just had a wander around. Speak soon hopefully Kind Regards Sarah.

Hi Sarah I walked round to Sid & Doreen Bird's house, before the snow started. No one at home. I will try again when it has cleared. I haven't forgotten

Hi Len I was just thinking of you. Have you had much snow in dear old 'Stokie?' We had snow on Wednesday evening coupled with thunder and lightning! Regards Sarah.

Hi Sarah I looked in on the Birds again today. They were home (its Sid & Pat, not Doris - my memory !!) They were very interested in your rellies but they could not immediately connect with any of the names but they will enquire within the family and get back to me. They are very slow-moving folk so don't know when that will be. Our roads were gridlocked Wednesday night but I managed to get into Wycombe on Thursday, via the M40 which was clear. The only problem was salt-laden spray which turned the windscreen opaque if one didn't keep using the washer. Must remember to top up the water resevoir tomorrow.
