I worked for the Post Office telephone company in the 60s, in Manchester, I think it was called Blackfriars House. It was right out of the dark ages, a huge room full of operators plugging in and out of boards. I went on to work in Directory Assistance and the 999 Emergency Board. Even though it was all work we still had fun. Does anyone recall those days. We got to eat in the cafeteria with vouchers they gave us. Remember Runners!!!!
