Just spent half an hour unclogging the nozzle of my Anita's tacky glue. Anyone got any tips for avoiding it blocking? I have tried all sorts. It is water soluble but in the nozzle it ends up like chewing gum!!!

I bet if you did you'd get a buyer for the house Moonbi. Lovely to have the new table though. :-)

Im very excited
My daughter who has just moved house has given me her old computer table.

It is much stronger than my other one, which will now be my "picnic on the verandah table"

My "new" table has a metal base, the top being deeper than the other one, but not as long. so now I can even open my cupboards without moving the desk.

Perfect, and it has two holes in it to take power cords for my sewing machine. I feel like setting up my machine again.

Ann
It's drying at present.
I had to leave it as had my little people to stay.
I'll steam it in the morning all being well.

How is the silk doing Von?

Von

Von Report 25 Jan 2013 20:36

That yarn was very pretty but as Island says what on earth does Kool aid do to your inside.
Thinking about it though probably doesn't reach a higher enough temperature. Phew!!!

I've dyed rainbow yarn with wool dyes and it was very pretty and easy enough to do.
I'll see if I can find it and take some photos.
Off to look at blog now.

BTW silk has changed colour but the snow is taking an age to melt. Maybe I piled up too high. Either that or my kitchen is freezing. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

I think the heat sets the colours because she says to wash the wool after but if any colours start to run to put it back out into the sun.

Hi Jude :-D

Apparently the wool 'dye' is set by putting it wet into a sealed plastic bag and leaving it to steam in the hot sun (lol)
It wouldn't be very attractive if the colours merged when washed would it?

On the other hand........if it doesn't run or fade in the wash, what does it do to your innards when it's a drink? :-0 :-0

Vons snow dyeing reminded me of this -

One for sunny weather though!

I haven't tried it but will probably have a go when space and weather permit :-D

Fingers crossed Jean as I haven't tried this method before although I have done a lot of fabric dyeing.
