Last time I went to the Range Jean they were selling the magazine. but they seemed to have more than one on sale, some from previous months. Maybe they don't sell that well so that have stopped. Pity if they have as I always buy one when I go there. Not been for quite a while now though, first week after Christmas I think we went. Not had any of the grab bags but might give them a go.

I have just spent the morning decorating the toy box for C, he is mad about cars so I stuck them all over , but can get them off if something else takes my fancy. he will be able to see what is in the box and I put his name on with fancy colourful letters, I will take a couple of pics so you can see it Ann....

Is this to keep toys at your place Jean? It sounds great. :-)

JustJean Report 17 Jan 2014 22:16

Yes it is Ann, we also have toys for the next door litle girl she is three and now has a brother just born, so he can share with C when he is old enough... trouble is the toys get bigger as the children grow soon there wont be room for our toys.....lol....
i have done all this years b/girls cards and put them in the envelopes, so now have a good excuse to make a lot more for D to take in for fundraising.....

I have some cards ready with cut out tops so should be able to rattle a few off...
I am waiting for a new punch to arrive it cuts out a decorative circle there are cartidges you can add to, will let you see it when i have mastered how to use it...

Its in the blood Ann :-D :-D I dont think I will ever stop!! but certainly not on the scale of before, I have rather accrued a healthy bank balance so have just treated myself to two pairs of H*****r shoes I have a lot that are like new and cant wear them now my ankles are too swollen, which is a great pity, same with sandals....so hope the new ones are o.k. but they can be returned if not.

I am impressed how far crafting has gone, there is new stuff coming out all the time,
and great ideas too.... so I will probably keep doing afew now and then, ;-) ;-) ;-)

Loved both Ann and Jeans cards. Can't seem to get the comments section on the blog to accept me so will post here. Jean's fairy card brought back memories of reading the Flower Fairy books. Art deco is really 'in' at the moment but my favourite of Anns cards is the ice skater with the background that looks like patterns scored in the ice by her skates.

Some people have trouble adding comments Pammy but I will add your comments for you. Thanks you, glad you liked all the cards.

I enjoy craft magazines but has anyone else noticed how the cost of these magazines is creeping up? I bought the latest doCrafts creativity magazine on Saturday, didn't look at the price and I had other things to pay for. Noticed when I got home that it costs £4.99 now. I shall think twice before buying another one. :-(

JustJean Report 4 Feb 2014 06:17

Maybe thats why our Range hadnt got any in last time I visited, the price of all the craft mags are mostly £4.99 so I wont be buying them either, :-0 :-0 :-0
I sometimes bought some off e-bay but noticed they were asking same price for outdated ones too....
I managed to win two dies for a very good price , cheery lynn heart and marrianne doily....brand new too.... also got some easel cards and envelopes off C/C at knocked down price , different styles so just made two heart shaped ones, pics will be following shortly :-D :-D J is finishing building a small chest of drawers for me, so I will be able too have everthing tidy and out of sight.....I hope.....we are getting a quote for a solid roof on the small conservatory, so we can use it all year round, but not sure if it can be done, the headache is where do we put the stuff that in it now it is supposed to take about 5 days :-| :-| :-| still it would make a huge difference, so watch this space....

pammy thank you for your kind remarks about the cards......

We have started to get craft magazines with the freebie goodies on here in Cyprus. Not before time but they come at a cost 10euros.....which is approx 9pds. Expensive but if the free products are good it's worth it for me as you can get very little here. So I am happily paying the price at the moment.

AnninGlos Report 4 Feb 2014 16:00

Yes I can see that would be worth it for you, even though it is a lot to pay out. Some of the freebies are going to be well worth the money. No doubt the magazine producers have realised that there is a gap in the market. :-D

Anyone know of any of the on line papercraft suppliers who allow payment by cheque. Shaun on the Welsh thread wants to buy some stuff but doesn't want to pay by card/paypal. I am thinking there must be provision to pay by cheque by one of them. Anyone know?

JustJean

JustJean Report 7 Feb 2014 17:10

Ann, I know Grafton Crafts accept all methods of payments inc cheques and postal orders, has a lot of craft stuff, if Shaun googles it it will come up....

hope to send some valentine card pics I have just made....using the heart die from cheery lynn, easiest die cut to use I used wax paper but forgot once and it cut perfectly....

Thanks Jean I will tell him. I look forward to seeing the cards. the valentines ones I made were very simple ones so I didn't take any photos. Not my favourite cards to make.
