But they posted a thread for Toby's room (book 3) and didn't sticky it, they are not being consistent and because people are not reviewing on here (are they reviewing on Facebook I wonder) they are leaving all the threads stickied. I think the Toby's room thread may be heading to the next page.

Also although Genes supply the names the books are sent out from Penguin so Genes have no control of how many are actually sent out or to whom or when.

The BookClub team must have read your thread. They've actually started a stickied thread for Reviewing Expo 58 :-D

There is another strange thing going on - 50 copies of each book are apparently sent out, but far less people have posted a review. Fair enough, people may have received their copy later than others, or may take longer to read/get round to reading them. But all the same?? :-0

I absolutely agree that we need one place to review books. I feel lucky when I get a book I have requested and think that I should post my comments. At the moment I am left wondering where to put them!

Greaders... didn't mind getting "lost" in amongst the General Chat board before Hobbies and Crafts were invented. Being intelligent readers we manage to find them.

Surely if you want to find a hobby or interest to post on you would look for that hobby etc or you would start your own..

Greaders happens once every six weeks, one would think the other interests etc would come to the foreground and Greaders would be on page two or three or further back as the older they get.

Glossie Ann I would not like to see the old threads removed, I have at times gone back there to look for an article.

Just for interest, there are 20 threads on this page, 5 are Greaders. That makes 15 other threads to reply to. your argument doesn't hold.

But if they added threads Greaders would sink. Greaders only usually appears every 6 weeks unl;ess somebody is late adding. And the Genes book club is nothing to do with Greaders. Just thought you would like to know.

If The Management team do read this, how about give the Greaders a board they use to them selves. I say this as some members feel that the Hobbies and Crafts Board is not worth adding threads to, as threads will just get swallowd up quickly by the amount of Greaders threads. So a lot of other hobbies, crafts & other interests are not being added. Just thought you would want to know is all.

Genes have started the book club, that is fine and some good books have been sent out each time for review. But why on earth isn't a proper review thread stickied for each book as it is sent out. There is no point in a book club if the reviews are all put up on separate threads. How then can people compare them. But when I wrote to support and suggested they sticky a thread this is the reply I got.

"Inevitably, we do receive a lot of feedback and suggestions from our members but please be assured that your email will be individually read by our Management team and that ALL member feedback is taken into account when deciding on future website development."

Do you think they actually read the suggestions? What has a stickied thread got to do with future web development?
