Hi, there is no membership that covers everything, but there are add on packages to Platinum membership, one of which is "parish records". This includes records such as the National Burial Index for some counties & some county marriage index. I recently upgraded to Platinum having had quite a lengthy exchange with the support team at Genes, in which I didn't get wholly accurate information. The Parish package costs £14.95 a year as do several others, the Newspaper archives package is £39.95 a year. I have suggested that a significant number of people would appreciate a membership package that is all inclusive, you know then exactly what the costs are going to be. I have also commented that the information I eventually extracted from customer support, ought to be readily available on the website. The reply I received promised that my comments would be passed on to management. To credit the support team they did give me 12mths access to the Parish records in recognition of the inaccurate information I had received. I also learned that there is a problem on the site which means that a menu that allows purchase of the add on packages is not visible, as far as I can see that has not yet been fixed. You can buy & use credits to view items that are not included in the basic Platinum subscription.

I would like to know... What membership does or will cover free viewings of parish records, newspaper articles and military records? How much is it? I thought the idea of a PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP was that it covered everything that GR have. Other site's have membership options, that cover all they have so you don't have to keep paying PAY PER VIEW.

I've just renewed my platinum subscription and queried GR about something similar. At the top it now reads "GIFTS, PAY PER VIEW, ACCOUNT, HELP, (my name), PLATINUM MEMBER, SIGN OUT".
I asked them why it now says "PAY PER VIEW". They said it was so I could buy credits to view records not already covered my subscription. The platinum subscription allows you to view BMD and census records, but not parish records, newspaper articles and military records.

Looks like somebody propbably RRd him because it was on the wrong board. Hopefully he will be sorted now that GR should have read the OP.
