Rambling Rose

I cant say too much at the moment except that this thread is being carefully watched by Genes Reunited.

It is very much being looked into as a matter of priority regarding the requests reviews

They have also noticed the amount of times and they have been noted

So i think action will be taken

And they have thanked me for the pm bringing it to their attention after sending them the link to this thread etc

hooray

Does one think that this is the same person each time or a different one?
I think this is the third time first post has been RRd.
Surely if it is the same person GR would tell them to desist.

Makes one wonder if we "all" should send a letter to GR regarding the issue and request the thread to be stickied?

Or perhaps the person who is doing this would like to add to the thread and explain why?

That sounds a good idea Persie - or if they didn't want to identify themselves publicly, to at least PM Chrissiex.

Flick Report 19 Jul 2011 09:56

I see the message has been 'referred' yet again..............the person doing it is certainly persistent.....I wonder what perverse pleasure this person gets from being so silly.

I have e-mailed GR asking that this thread be 'stickied' to put a stop to the stupidity

Lisa Report 19 Jul 2011 10:56

How come GR keep deleting them reposting this message. It is madness. How can I contact GR myself to add to the reasons why this post should stay?? It is all about common sense that is all. Some people have tried to take advantage of the helpers kindness on here and the post was a warning to all nothing more nothing less. Somebody somewhere has taken this personaly as they feel it was directed at them...

LIsa - if you use the drop down box 'Help' on the green bar at the top of the thread, there is an option 'Contact us'.

If you decided to do this, best to copy the thread address from the browser bar, before you follow the link, then paste it into the message. That will help them find the thread more easily.

Lisa

It isn't GR who 'keep deleting'..........the post is being 'referred' repeatedly by (probably) one very nasty-minded individual

GR can only review the referral and re-instate, which they have been doing.

I do think, however, that they are being very slow to take the necessary, appropriate action.

Persephone Report 19 Jul 2011 11:24

We could all run around like demented chooks Lisa and RR (remove) posts willy nilly but good sense prevails.

I have not reported a thread, but if I did I can assure you I would have enough gumption to state why on that thread... but before I did I would PM person concerned and ask whether that person could change the wording or at the very least debate the point.

Most of us have reached a certain amount of agreement on this thread but it is a bit like talking to a brickwall because the person it should be reaching is probably sitting there reading this but not willing to come out and show themselves. If said person does not want to reveal themselves to us as Det says at least they could Pm Chrissie.

I would go as far to say I think it is disrespectful...

I nudged the thread up just before Midnight as you can see and the 1st post was there then,

I have already asked GR to make this a sticky but they said they couldn't but I mailed them back and gave them 3 reasons WHY it should be a sticky thread.

If all of us that post on this thread mailed GR they maybe would think that it does need to be stickied.

I think it's disgusting that GR haven't warned the person/people that are RRing the thread to stop it..

Has anyone requested in their e-mail to GR that this thread has a sticky attached to it ? are they not prepared to divulge the reason the person has for wanting the thread removed ?

Joy

Joy Report 20 Jul 2011 22:27

No, but I posted yesterday
"If the content is disliked so much by a member / members, but it is reinstated each time and, therefore, considered within the T & C, perhaps genes reunited would care to put it in a sticky posted by themselves?" and am thinking about asking genes reunited if this could be done.

Hi All

In answer to your question Sheila i and a few members asked for it to be stickied the other day after we emailed Gr and it has been passed on to the people in charge of sticky threads

I have spoken with Phil Moir on several occasions and i can not divulge to much at the moment but this thread is being constantly monitored by them all the time

They have also contacted the person who kept pressing request review on this thread

Gr also have said they are very happy for this thread to stay as it does not break any conditions

Sheila

Sheila Report 20 Jul 2011 23:06

Maybe they should ask the person who keeps reporting it their reason for doing so ? whilst we do not all agree with every comment on this thread, there are some very valid points made in the original posting by Chrissie, that should make us take stock and think before we act.
