........ and in fact that is exactly why I started the thread :-)

Lianne no other thread on this board has anything to do with your thread, no one 'nudges' this thread 'under your thread' in fact when a thread is nudged it goes _above_ every other thread except stickied threads

I have no idea why you think this thread or the position of this thread on the board has anything to do with you or your thread, threads move to the top of the board when a post is added to them, no one can position a thread under someone else's thread

I'm sorry but you are actually the one who does not know what this thread is about ... it is about 'non-genuine' requests and the fact is there have been non-genuine requests, would you want someone using this site to look for your minor children ?

maybe if you have concerns about 'policemen' you would start your own thread about that and remove your comments from this thread so others can remove their replies ... it is so very tiresome seeing the same vague and yet almost identical complaints day in and day out about people like the ones in this thread who spend their time helping others

I disagree Fairthorn :-) on consideration, neither thread, nor my own, should be stickied....

What SHOULD be stickied is adequate, informative guidance from GR, noting the points made in these posts and having reference to the personal and legal ramifications of posting and helping on this board. Something i don't believe they gave sufficient thought to in the first place.

I suggested that all queries on this board be moderated by GR before posting. Their reason for not doing so was, I was told, that it would mean some posters would have to wait a whole weekend before their query was added. If one has waited years already a weekend won't kill you.

What was really meant was that it's much cheaper to let the members do the work and slug it out if things go wrong! In my opinion.

I nudged this thread because I believe it is constructive to have the comment where people can see it.

I am probably misunderstanding you but is your complaint about the fact that I nudged this thread and not yours?

By me nudging a general observation, I was not belittling your request.

Yours I see as a specialist request for those who have an extensive knowledge of how the Australian systems work. If the request had been about people here in NZ, I would have endeavoured to help you.
