Looking for my Aunts and Uncles, birth surname BATES, mothers maiden name TAYLOR, all born NEWARK:

Maureen A Bates, born Oct/Nov/Dec 1947

Michael J E Bates, born Oct/Nov/Deb 1944

Leonard C Bates, Born Oct/Nov/Dec 1940

Brian P Bates, born Jul/Aug/Sep 1943

Ann Shirley Bates, born Jul/aug/Sep 1942 (Married A Bowler in 1962)

Any information appreciated x

Have you tried Search Trees on this site?

There are 2 with Leonard Bates, 1940, Newark in their trees.

You could contact the tree owner to see if you have a connection.



Don't forget to delete all the other threads and just keep this one.

If you look on 192.com there's an Ann S Bowler in Notts on the 2003 electoral roll.

This is linked directly to threads by Antionette (sic)........to whom Michelle has responded

Both are looking for exactly the same people

Apart from Ann, there are no obvious marriage records for the siblings on Ancestry.......and no death records for their parents

As I asked on Antionette's thread...........did all of these people remain in the UK?

I'm not sure Flick, as I don't have enough information to search for them or to be certain it is them if i find anything.

I'm on here in the hope that they turn up on somebody's tree and that person will know more, or that somebody who knows them will search the names and see these messages and get in touch.

Pot luck really but they are the missing people from my tree who i really want to find! x

Just wanted to nudge this up the board again!

I have contacted an agency who will get me an intermediary to make contact with Ann and i await news from them but i have had no joy with finding the others, so i am still looking x

Heard nothing from the agency and it didn't feel right to contact Ann myself so I'm still hoping one of them or their families decide to do their family tree and come across this post.
