Hi Bridget

Fingers crossed for you, but just to tell you that Niederirsen could be correct, it is a part of Rheinland-Pfalz, does that ring a bell for you, ? I have found a Hartmut Hartmann in that area who went to Gymnasium till 1968 , what years did you know him? He is listed on 'stay friends'

It looks as if we may have found Hazel!!

One of the people I contacted was a young girl. She is not the person I was looking for but! She has kindly contacted other people in Germany, where she lives and this morning sent me full details of address, telephone number, fax number, email etc.

I cannot wait for a sensible time today to contact her!

I will let you all know the outcome.

Bridget :-D

Just to let you all know that this morning I had a message from Yasmine Leacock whe claimed to be born in 1909 I think it was and she is not the person I am looking for. So the mystery goes on?

On my Hazels' birthday I posted a happy birthday with a message but no reply, so thank you all for trying to help.

Hi Bridget,

If you contact the closest local library to West Brompton they may be able to look up old electoral rolls for you. Most times you will need to do this in person though.

You will need the address.

Rose,
Thanks for pointing out that I had added the s. Typically me to be so excited that I added and extra letter.
Is there anyway that I can get records of who lived in this house as for the life of my I cannot recal Hazel's mothers name.
Living with Hazel were her step father, her mother and another man she called uncle but he was not related. Her stepfather ran a night club and her "uncle" was the chef. This was in Soho but I do not know the name of exactly where.

I have left some messages on my old school, Our Lady's school Stamford Hill, north London.
I have added the name of the school just in case someone recognises it. I may add the school name to the heading??

I hope that you have a good day

Best wishes

Bridget

At 5am this morning I woke with a start, not just the loud music in town but recalled Finsborough Road in West Brombton London , as the address Hazel lived in with her mother and stepfather. I think they lived in number 19 but not a hundred percent sure.

So now going to have a coffee and try to recall the name of the place in Germany.

Bridget :-)

Niederelson, I will see if there is such a place

I have decided that when I return to the UK I will buy the wedding certificate and hopefully that will enable me to see the parents names and other info, I hope!

I will be going back in a couple of weeks for two weeks so that should be enough time.

Meanwhile I will see if anyone on the school blog remembers any more info.

Thank you for your interest in helping me find my friend.

I am about to look at the atlas to see if I can identify where they lived in Germany and also googgly Erlas Court as that is where they used to live.

Bridget,

Try and remember the German town where they lived. We can then try to find them in the phone book. As I said earlier, I'm not seeing anything for Nedierelson.

Peter Slivinski is the name of her Step father, it came to mind just as I was reading you messages, Rose.
I will try to put my brain in order and googlle the underground system then I may recall the station near to where they lived,

Thank you for trying to help

Do you remember Hazel's mother's name or her stepfather's surname?

If you remember her address you could get an electoral roll lookup to get the adult's names.

Did she have any half siblings?

It would really help if you could get the name of the town in Germany. Not seeing any matches for Nedierelson on Google. What region of Germany was it in? What was the nearest city?
