Hi Barbara : My name is Steve Thurston from Ontario Canada. Gladys Cork married my Grandmothers brother, Stanley Brien. I recall several family get togethers with them until Stanley passed away in 1970. I havent seen Michael for a number of years but I do know his wifes son through a work colleage. If you are still interested I can try and locate him.

I also have a picture of Michael and Gladys dated abt 1955

Feel free to contact me
Regards Steve

Barbara,

Unfortunately the chances of your cousin seeing this post are very slim indeed.

Have you tried looking in the "Search Trees" facility (Above) to see if he appears in anyone's family tree on Genes?

You might also look on Facebook to see if he is a member there.

Good luck.

I am looking for my cousin who was born in Croydon in 1943 with name Michael Cork. Your Mother was Gladys Cork who married in Canada and your name may have been changed to Michael Brien or O'Brien. You would have been around 12 when you left England and settled on a farm in Canada after your Mother married Stanley Brien.

You did correspond with my sister Jean after Gladys died. I am Barbara Cork your Mother had brothers Herbert (Uncle Bert) and my father Henry (Uncle Jim). We lived in Edmonton, North London.

Would love to get in contact with you after all these years.
