phone books available on line.... however it also does electoral roll but i think it is expensive... you could also put your post on LookupUK.com as there are numerous helpers there and one has access to the current UK electoral roll....

Did he and your mother part?

As for visiting the 1978 address, that is a decsion which only you can make. But I would have thought it most unlikely that such a visit would prove fruitful

I suppose you've checked the phone books in your nearest main library?

It could also be that he returned to SA

i got my fathers detail and the address of where he used to live the time when he got married to my mum. IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO GO AND VISIT THAT HOUSE, to take a chance of find him?

strange thing is, his address is very near to mine at the moment!!

You may want to leave it a while and try contacting him again as the Genes notification by emails is not working at the moment it seems.

I also see Michael has you in his tree also and if you search the trees for a Michael with the same membership number he was born Cape town in 1946

I have ordered the marriage cer n hopefully it leads me to some way! finfers cross. the purple envelope is still there. no other way of contacting or communicating other than site. thank you rose.

Did you email both of the Michaels who have Christopher in their trees? Could be one is an old account.

You can tell if your message has been read by going to your Sent Items. If the purple envelope symbol is still there, it's unread.

I've checked for christopher bowers with the birth year and place. the information i have of him matches with christopher bowers which michael bowers is also looking for.

I have emailed michael bowers through this website but haven't hear from him. i dont know what other ways i could possible get through to him!

using the credits i can only view the original files containing birth, marriage dates and nothing else then that. I really want to find him before christmas.

He married twice. 1st in 1972 to Morris and 2nd to my mother wetherall in 1978. How would buy the marriage cert? i have used the credits that is require to view the original files.

I dont know my fathers birth year but i was told he was from south africa. My dad Michael D Bowers resides in the UK.

He has a another son known as Christopher Bowers who was born in 1974 and his mums name is Morris.
