Oh well. We all have computer problems at sometime or other!

You ought to be able to find my original message in your 'in box' unless you deleted it.

The records were all copied and pasted from immigration records on the Australian national archive site.

If you want to look at the index record your self...

http://www.naa.gov.au/
In the blue left hand column is a link called Family History
On the next page, find the underlined words Record Search (2nd Para)
Then after click that, use the button labelled Search as a guest.
Along the green bar, select NAME SEARCH
Family name = Maloney
Category = Immigration and naturalization records from the scroll down list.

There are something like 74 results.
Refine the search by putting CHRISTOPHER in the top box.

I'll re send the original, in case it got lost.

It might also help to edit your title by going into the opening post to include the word 'Australia'.

Any further information is likely to be in the public domain - google, google, google!

Double check if the C Maloney is still listed for the Northern Territories on www.whitepages.com.au. No guarentee that he is related, but?

Majorie - the message sent to you on 19 Nov has been opened. We would appreciate some sort of feed back on the thread, even if it is to say that the information people find, can't possibly be correct.

That way, possibly another GR member will think laterally and look for other sources to provide the information for you.

Thank you
:-)

MIght they have immigrated later than the 1960's? On the naturilazation records, there is a lisiting for a Maloney family

MALONEY Christopher Barry,
Anne [nee TONKINSON]

departed Australis 9 April 1974 from the UK.

There are 3 girls and 1 boy also listed which I shall send by PM.

Did at 2 of the children have the same name as the parents, the male with a middle name of Barry?

It may be a blind alley, but the 1977 ER has these 2, both students, living at

20 Seaview Terrace, Kalamunda, Moore, WA.

As the address was so long ago, they probably no longer live there, and it could have been student 'digs' anyway.

Have you tried Facebook, especially for the children? You could also search www.whitepages.com.au and hope the family still lives in the original area. There is one C Maloney listed for the Northern Territories. Worth the price of a stamp?

Trying to find my cousin Christopher Maloney, he was adopted by my Uncle Leonard Maloney and Aunt Florence nee Curvill, I know he went to North Australia some time in the 1960's, his wife's name was Anne or Anna and we believe he had three children
