	I am looking for my half brother Eric Roy Atkins. He was born to Frederick Walter Barton and Ivy Rose Crook in Southampton 1939 and was adopted at about two years old. He had two sisters Adrianne and Sheila. The last I know was he was living in america. Mal Barton

Member Since: July 2007 Posts: 342 Send Message	Also Ivy R Barton remarried in Southwark in 1954 to a Curtis where it is registered as Barton or Crook. She was born in Southampton J-S 1918 and there is a death in 1973 Harlow Warwickshire of Ivy Rose Curtis born 20.7.1918.

	Wow, thanks for your replies - so soon! I have Eric's birth certificate - Eric was born on 11th Aug 1939 at the Borough Hospital in Southampton. His parents are Frederick Walter Barton and Ivy Rose Crook and they were living at 3 Chapel Road, St Mary's, Southampton. I am in contact with Eric's sister, Shelia who was born March 1941 in Didcot, Oxfordshire who was also adopted - she is in contact with their sister Adrianne who was born Aug 1936 in Southampton and moved to London with her mother. I spoke to Eric a number of years ago, thinking he was coming to UK but it didn't happen and there's been no contact since? Unfortunately, I do not know the names of his adoptive parents.

	Where in the US was he? Are you sure of his surname? Could it be Adkins/Atkin/Adkin? Rose

	Oh dear, I wish I'd taken more notice when we first made contact - I was just expecting him to ake contact when he came to England and never nailed down all my information. Just for the hell of it I may just call that number with 001 prefix and see what happens? Of course Eric would be 72 now and quite possibly is no longer with us! Mal

	Stop Press Further enquiries have unearthed that Eric's christian name, also was changed when he was adopted. His adopted name was Frank Atkins and was born on 11th Aug 1939 at the Borough Hospital in Southampton. His parents are Frederick Walter Barton and Ivy Rose Crook and they were living at 3 Chapel Road, St Mary's, Southampton. Last believed living in West Keys, Florida - 1990'ish Mal
