Please for your own sake remove your phone number immediately...this is a site open to anyone to see and giving out your number is very unwise.

Please read guidelines at top of page "This message board is where you can post details of living relatives that you are looking for. Please read the following guidelines before posting. Please be aware that anything you post on this message board (and our other boards) is in the public domain.......Please do not include addresses, email addresses or telephone numbers"

Hi Mark,
With every good intension your plea is,,,,,,it would be far wiser for you to click back on your message where you have the facility to amend /Edit it so that it doesnt include the telephone number.

Some could use it to play the fool or worse.

As it will get reported which will mean your message wont been seen at all, which will be a shame.

There is anAmelia Maud M Alder born 1902 Croyden, which is the most geographically appropriate for your birth, but she could have been born anywhere

These are the only 2 Amelia Alder's showing on free bmd from 1900 to 1918, which you can access using the link below:

It looks as though her sister Ivy married a bloke with a suitably unsusual name that you could possibly find descendants that way.

Look on FreeBMD for Ivy's marriage

Hi Mark

I was looking at this for my friend Marion so likely your sister? Spoke to her yesterday and got more info so when I entered the birthplace in Google your post came up in the results.

Anyway I can advise that Amelia Maud M Stripp (formerly Alder) died in Croydon, Surrey NOT Crosby, Merseyside. This death isn't available on FreeBMD yet so is taken from Ancestry.co.uk. where they have transcribed the district incorrectly by looking at the page image you can see it is Croydon.

further to this Amelia Victoria married married Robert T Clifford in September Quarter 1946 Salisbury District again note how old Amelia would have been at the time of the marriage. Whilst this marriage may seem to be a fair way from her birthplace it is supported by a death of Amelia Victoria Clifford December Quarter 1977 Salisbury District which gives a birth date of 14 October 1906 which is spot on for the birth Quarter of December 1906.

Steven /Its highly unlikely that Mark/Margaret will see your posting .no posts since 2011 and then only posted twice so probably no longer a member.

You can try to contact him/her by sending a PM .
