This looks like Maud Charlotte Foster's birth (the certificate would give you her parent's names - or at least her mother's name if she happened to be illegitimate):-

County: London
Year of Registration: 1897
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
Mother's Maiden Name: Not available before 1911 Q3

First buy the marriage cert to confirm the name of her father.

If it matches the info posted on this thread then get the parents marriage cert for their ages and names of father etc

George

George Report 11 Feb 2012 21:50

George

The members that help on the boards can only offer suggestions or possible matches on names. Most of the time it is fairly accurate but it needs confirming by buying the certs.

Perhaps the parents of Lewis never married or married in Scotland or overseas. Without getting his birth cert it is at the moment a mystery.
