As Lewis was born just after the end of WW1, it's feasible that his mother had been widowed as a result of the conflict, and that she married Brewer in her first married name

The only way to find the answer to your question is to purchase the cert.............or wait for the 1921 census to be released in 10 years' time

The members that help on the boards can only offer suggestions or possible matches on names. Most of the time it is fairly accurate but it needs confirming by buying the certs.

Perhaps the parents of Lewis never married or married in Scotland or overseas. Without getting his birth cert it is at the moment a mystery.

Yes you are confirming what i have heard The really interesting bit is Lewis, fathers, wifes name thats the troublesome bit.

First buy the marriage cert to confirm the name of her father.

If it matches the info posted on this thread then get the parents marriage cert for their ages and names of father etc
