Have you tried looking for matches by using 'search trees' in the dark green bar above?
Might be helpful if you say how Walter fits in and which relatives you are looking for.
Might getting Walter's death cert be a start?

No records for birth or death of a Walter Aherne
ln England and Wales, you have his birth as 1866
but where, one other GR Tree has a Walter Aherne
but not when or where, was he born and died in Scotland,
or is the christain name wrong.

Thank you all for help. This is my family Jan so chuffed. Now for search of Ireland records for Walter. Noted that the surname has been spelt 3 different ways for goodness sake. My deceased mother did mention she thought her in laws came from Tipperry know that is not howto spell that place name.
