I think Brum was interested in finding living relatives of the Grindrod family...as this was posted almost a year ago Brum may not be checking for replies now, you could send a private message if you wish by clicking on his/her name

My mother, Hannah Whiteside (nee Bittles) born 2.11.1892 had relatives in Bury, one of whom was called Elsie? who married Ormrod Grindrod both of them worked in o ne of the local cotton mills. I would be interested to hear whether there is any connection here, Elsie an Ormrod Grindrod were living in Fairfield, Bury they had a daughter.
