Find Living Relatives

My name is LES and I would like to find my daughter her name is GINA she was born in 1960 to mother Eilene Pattison whom I met in Brunswick public house in Stockton-on-Tees where she used to sing. I also knew my daughter's late uncle Earnie or Ernest Pattison who sadly died in a motorbike accident.

I see you have edited some parts of the original posting. You have added the surname and Irene is now Eileen.

It seems as though you are a little unsure of the names. Are you sure it is Gina? I see a Julie who could fit.

He had a sister called Florence whose middle initial was E. Could this be Eileen?

Their mother was also called Florence.

She married in 1961.

You say the mum Florence/Eileen was married but according to the records this wasnt till 1962 so doesnt tie with a 1961 birth ?

There are several people on here who have Pattisons who were born in Stockton in their trees.

I have been of line for a while as I been to Stockton on Tees to see if I could dig up some more information about my daughter Gina. The nearest I came to is where my daughter's mother was living when I first met her. In 1959/60, was 7, Whorlton Road Stockton on Tees. I also think that my daughter's mother possibly married under a name Smith or Wells. When I first met my daughter's mother my English was not very good so I did not possessed enough details about the family.There is a bit that keeps repeating in my mind that my daughter's mother may have had another brother possibly called David?

You can look up old electoral rolls for 7, Whorlton Road at the library nearest to that address. That would give you correct names.

when you say Eileen 'married under the name of', do you mean
- that was the name of the man she married
or
- that was her name when she married
?
Smith and Wells are rather different, what is your memory of those names? was one her name at the time you knew her?

If Eileen was married at the time she had your daughter, the baby would have had to be registered with Eileen's husband's name. No idea what that was, if that was the case?


a Lilian P'n married in 1955 in the right place and there was only one child to that marriage, Elaine, in 1959

she was the youngest of numerous children ... could Joseph/Ernest have been a cousin?

is there any chance that your memory is slightly foggy and this would fit?

Rose's suggestion of Jean (who maybe went by Gina if she was a singer? the inspiration for Heartbeat's Gina?!) with daughter Eileen would certainly fit well if memory was foggy

also the sister Florence ... their mother was Florence so she may have gone by middle name ... as Ernest seems to have done

actually I think Jean was not a sister of Joseph/Ernest, she may more likely have been a a child of a couple with the same surnames who married earlier
