Find Living Relatives

Morning All

I heard from Susan and the link was a long one he was the husband of an aunt to her cousins husband. So in short really doesn't know much.

I have e-mailed back to find out if they had children.

Fingers crossed.

No I wouldn't have expected the wife to be alive either Jax, ...but as I said I had the PM box in case I found a child who would possibly have been still living.

Ashford With Shepway is the new name of our registration district, which was Shepway and previously Elham.

Because I hadn't yet looked for a death Jax :-) I was only on freebmd ( looking at something for my own tree) , and just went directly from that to seeing if anyone had her on their tree here.

edit I was going to send by PM if I had found there was a child of the marriage so had the PM box open ready.

Just an update on Alfred.

I got his death certificate and his wife Florence was the informant. They lived in Romney Marsh.

I tried doing a search on google for Florence at the address named but no luck.

Has anyone go any suggestions on what to try next please.

Checked micro-film of Folkestone Herald for issues 3rd May 1991 to 30th August 1991 inclusive looking in family notices, obituary column and acknowledgement / thanks without finding any mention of him.

Happy to look locally if you think of anything for which you need further help.

I have tried tree connections, there was one close match and I tried contacting that person a couple of times with no luck. There is no match for his mother at all.

Do you live in Kent.? If not I could look in old copies of the local paper at the library on the off-chance that there was an obituary notice, which includes some family information.
