Find Living Relatives

I am trying to locate Noel Vibart, who I believe now lives in the Netherlands. Noel was born on 24 November 1944 in Guildford, Surrey, UK. He has two older sisters and they were born in Buenos Aries, Argentina). His parents were George M. Vibart and Lorna Vibart (nee Waymouth).

Noel and my mum were together for some time.

I have been trying to trace Noel for a few years now.

I believe he contacted my auntie around 1991/2 and advised her that my mum had died. He gave the impression that this happened in Amsterdam, although the authorities in Amsterdam and the British Consulate have no record of this.

I would like to know the date she died, what her illness was, where she died and where she was buried/cremated. It would also be nice if he has any photos of her as I only have one of her as a child. I last saw my mum and Noel in 1984 when they lived in Hayling Island, Hampshire. I believe they then went to the US and then mainland Europe.

My mum was Kathleen Margery Murphy (nee ord), born in Northumberland on 22nd September 1947, she was better known as "Kate" and "Katie"

Prior to meeting Noel, my mum had lived her earlier years in Elsdon Northumberland - (1940s to 50s/60s), Greenhead Northumberland -( 1960's to 1966), Brampton Cumberland - (1967 to c1970/2), Otterburn Northumberland (1966/67) and again (c1971/2 to c1977/8), Bentley Hampshire - (1978/79), Farnham Surrey - (1979 - c1983).

My mum was the daughter of Margery Ord nee Tait b 26/07/1926, Northumberland and James Ord b 22/09/1925, Northumberland.

Noel was from the Guildford area but may have worked offshore in the oil industry. I seem to remember "oil barges" being mentioned. His passport at the time stated he was a "Car Salesman". Passports used to include occupation. His ex wife, I am led to understand, was a hairdresser and had shops in the Guildford/Farnham areas.He possibly worked for an American company, during the mid 80s, as his pay cheques used to be drawn against the Chase Manhattan Bank.

Before they went abroad (in 1986) they lived together in Hayling Island Hampshire and often stayed in Fareham Hampshire (where my Grandma, Margery Ord, lived until she passed away in February 1986).

I have found a record (in 1991) that they were in Axtell Texas which is close to Waco. I have emailed the Waco Chief of Police and he has forwarded my email to the County Sheriff that covers Axtell. They have no information at present. There are also internet traces to suggest that they had been in Comal County, Texas.

Noel will now be 67 and I have traced his older sister (Helen Vibart, who is now 70) on Friends reunited. She replied to say that he lives in the Netherlands and to ask who I was, which I answered, but she has not replied since. Helen, I believe, may reside in the West Midlands.

It is most likely that Noel now lives in the Netherlands (confirmed by his sister) and may have remarried and been widowed around 2000 (hearsay). He is possibly in the West Friesland region which, I believe, is in the North.
