Researching:
Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as a Mitchell.

no it was from urs that i got her other marriage then went onto 192 directories. ive wrote a letter to that address and gonna post it today and hopefully i get a reply soon. many thanks again x

It is a slightly less common way of spelling her forename. Just based upon that, timing and a slight geographical connection there could be a marriage in Greenwich in 1977 that might be worth investigation.
