Hello Penny,

Thankyou for the quick reply, Yes thats right, Have found out he married a Helen Ross in 1979, and on the electoral role they were registered at an address until 2003. however we cannot find anything new, I have searched online, 192.com and facebook for any other relatives.

There are other names registered at the address but have again hit a dead end with them. Cannot find any death certificate for him so can only assume he is still alive (we hope).. Really appreciate any help as to where to go next,

You don't mention his name or when he was born.

Hello Rose,

Thankyou for the reply,

His first name is Alan and we think he was born around 1940. He was approx 5 years younger than my hubby's mum. He also had a sister but sadly we dont have a name.
Any help would be great

Clare :-)

If you order his marriage cert. you will get his age and his father's name.

Do you know where he was born?

OK, so you need the marraige cert of either Him & Helen or him and your Mum ( if they are not the sameThis will name his father and help to pinpoint the right bloke.

Was he a local chap? any idea what he did for a lving?

(Is Hubby's mother Doreen?)

Have you tried the 2003 address ? since this time people have been able to tick the box to not have their details public on later elec rolls, but he may still be there .

I'm new to this forum (tho' not to family history research) so forgive me if I'm barking up the wrong tree! I am looking for info on Norman C Seymour, born Cheltenham 1922. His mother (Olive Kathleen Beacham, my cousin) died from TB in 1924 at the age of 26 leaving Norman and his sister, Patricia born 1918. They were not brought up together. I have tracked down Patricia (now deceased) but have no info on Norman. Anyone out there know anything?
