Trying to trace Alfred Hudson, his family were Trawler Owners in Hull & Grimsby in the 20th century. Alfred Hudson was stationed in Belfast Northern Ireland during WW2. Am interested in Ancestors and descendants of the family as well.

No chance of help without a birth year for the man.

How much research have you done yourself?

A good starting point............

What is your connection with him?

I am trying to find out about my Father who's family were Trawler Owners in Hull & Grimsby in the 20th Century (Hudson Fishing Co Ltd). Ideally I would like to see a photo of him (Alfred Hudson) just to see what he looked like. I am sure he must have had other descendants which would be of interest to me as well. :-)

How about some comments on the help which people have tried to provide?

And try doing some research yourself on the net............

And in 'search all trees' on GR

Hi Reggie, I have been trying, but I am very new to Genealogy and Computers, I have been on a Family History Internet Course but I have not as yet been able to find out anything on my Fathers side. I have quite a lot on my mothers side but that is because I had relatives to get information from. I am very grateful for the help I have been given but I am not sure what to do with it, where to go from here and what to do next? I was thinking of joining a local History Society, the East Yorkshire Family History Society (eyfhs) maybe they would have a record of the family in Hull? I have been to The National Archives at Kew which is near where I live, and to "Who Do You Think You Are" at Olympia in London. But unless you know what you are doing you end up with nothing very positive. I am very grateful for the help you have given to me. :-)
