I assume social services provided you with a copy of your original birth certificate? You need to contact them again and request your adoption file, it is a legal proceedure and there is a requirement for it to be kept and made available to you on request.

Have you checked out your possible siblings, mentioned earlier by Rose?

The adoptee (myself beth driscoll) applied for the folder from social services around 20 years ago , and they informed me that they could not find any information on my adoption. Have also tried a private investigator , however he was not that good , only found out as much as i have .

I did send a message to gary on genes reunited but have not had a message yet , however i think i have found his tel number . Not sure what to do next?

Who told you there was no file/ no info on the file. Who actually applied for it? The person herself that was adopted or someone else?

You can see her birth in 1933 and she also had siblings. Put the mothers maiden name to find them.

How much research have you already done yourself?

Was she married at the time of your birth?
