I am sorry. I didn't realized I was doing something wrong. I have deleted it although I understand it might be too little too late. Again, I apologize.

jax Report 5 Jun 2012 07:49

I gave you all those births and marriages in why have you now posted them all on here where it can all be found on google

This letter from Julia should not really be posted here even though she confirmed what I said

Jeanette Report 3 Jun 2012 22:05

No Jax I have not heard back yet from facebook links and was considering sending follow-up messages but now that you suggested it I WILL do that! Thanks!!

jax Report 3 Jun 2012 17:09

Have you not had replies from the facebook links ?

If not I would try again

Jeanette Report 3 Jun 2012 16:52

Well Lloyd and Beverley's last name at birth was Fellerman. I have not made any more progress since Julia first responded to me. I am waiting to hear back from her again, hoping she can answer some more of the questions we have. It seems like there must be more I could do to locate Lloyd (that isn't too expensive) but I don't know what! Thank you all for your help!!! :-)

jax Report 23 May 2012 21:37

Have you had any replies from the facebook leads?

Jeanette Report 23 May 2012 21:11

I am still hoping to hear more details back from Julia. The waiting is so hard now that I have found a lead...

jax Report 22 May 2012 06:06

Marie did not marry in cumberland will send marriage to Peter in 1963 plus her first marriage to Lloyd and Beverleys father in 1954

jax Report 22 May 2012 04:54

Will send a link for a possable son for Paulette found on Facebook

jax Report 22 May 2012 04:41

There is an address for Paulette in the same area as the death for Marie so it looks more than likely that is her death unfortunatly credits are needed to view it....but is only up until 2003 anyway.

I would suggest you purchased the death cert to see who registered it

jax Report 22 May 2012 03:55

Beverleys birth sent also

Jeanette Report 22 May 2012 03:51

Oh thank you SO much Jax!!! :-) :-) :-) :-)

Jeanette Report 22 May 2012 03:42

I spoke to my sister tonight and she said that Mr. Foster asked for money to buy copies of the marriage and birth certificates. So that is how he got the information. And now his info has been confirmed by Julia. This is SO exciting!

jax Report 22 May 2012 03:39

Ok Lloyd looks like he was born in Nottingham and there is also a Pauette born Nottingham, think I have Paulette's marriage will send it by pm

Jeanette Report 22 May 2012 03:11

Thank you Sylvia, I will look into their website.
Thank you Jax, it does seem as though that could be my maternal grandmother's death certificate.
I am hoping to get even more information from Julia now that I have found her. It's funny to find that my mom had a sister AND a daughter named Paulette! :-)

Jeanette Report 22 May 2012 03:05

Happily I have found a link!! I found Julia, Lloyd's former wife! This is what she had to say: Lloyd was in the British Army and his mother, Marie Wilson, was also an army wife. She was married to a Peter Smith who was a Warrant Officer in the army at the time I married Lloyd. Yes, you are right in that he had a sister called Beverley who was a little younger than him and also another sister called Paulette (spooky, isn't it, and I also had a sister called Paulette). Paulette would have been about 5 years younger than Lloyd, I think and was born after Pete and Marie married. In 1977 Pete, Marie, Beverley and Paulette lived in Loughborough, Leicestershire. Lloyd's father had the surname Fennerman/Fellerman, who Lloyd said was an american serviceman, but I recently researched this and I think he was from and living in London. I didn't have any contact with Lloyd after we divorced, although we had cause to meet again in 1999. At that time Lloyd was living in Hunstanton, Norfolk and was talking about moving but whether he did or not, I have no idea. I don't know whether Marie is still alive and whether they still live in or around Loughborough. I know that Paulette married a soldier but I don't know about Beverley.

very kind regards

Having not been convinced about this I have found a death which strangely enough would fit in with your mothers birth mother

Name: SMITH, Marie Pamelia
Registration district: [?] Dewsbury
County: Yorkshire
Year of registration: 2006
Month of registration: August
Date of Birth:16 February 1930

District no: 0881B
Reg no: B53C
Ent no: 012
DOR: 806

Again living in another part of the country? Maybe one of the children registered the death?

There is not a Marie P Wilson that matches that birth, but the year could be wrong or it is not her or she was born outside of England or Wales?

Also her maiden name should be recorded as it was after 1969

jax Report 21 May 2012 06:32

I have also found that the Mr Boxall you contacted had a daughter called Julie not Julia so is it the same person? was he estranged from his daughter as he had remarried in 1972 and he seems to have sadly died in 2004....If it is the same man who told you they were in Manchester they could be anywhere now at least 8 years later

I wonder if it would be more worth your while to contact Norcap .............. this is a well-established and reputable UK registered charity and support group that was established almost 30 years ago to help adults with search and reunion issues and handle their feelings about the effect of adoption.

You have to realise that no-one can see the details on an English birth marriage or death certificate without buying it ............. and I'm pretty certain that was the case also in the mid 1990s.

For example, there is no way to know the mother's full name (other than her surname) without looking at the actual certificate, and that means buying it.

I'm really puzzled how that guy managed to find the information he gave you without having access to the certificates!

Also, women who gave up their babies for adoption before 1970 did it on the understanding that it would be a closed adoption, and their name would never be released.

Rules have changed .............. and Norcap was set up to help.

People register on there who wish to make contact with their adoptive parents and siblings.

It might be one way to find your mum's siblings, if not her mum

the web address is

There is of course a charge! The initial charge for the Locate and Make Contact Service is £125. The balance can be paid in three further monthly instalments of £125 each. The Locate and Make Contact service includes both the location and the intermediary elements of the Service. You will not be asked to pay more however long the search takes unless the clear evidence is found that your relative has gone overseas.

I just remember that Lloyd and Beverly were born in the 1950's but I can't remember exact years and I do not know where. And I don't know how much it matters but Marie's middle name is spelled Pamelia (not Pamela) on the birth certificate.
