Jackie has'nt been back for over a month, so maybe this thread is now closed

Are you sure it was Keays and not keay

If it was Keay it looks like they had two children and her daughter has a tree on here

will pm you her name and where to look although the membership is quite old so she may have changed her email address

You would do better to start a thread of your own....I don't think Jacqueline is using the site at the moment

Hi Jacqueline,
I have just read your kind offer for helping in research for living relatives and I was wondering if you could assist me in my search. I am trying to locate any living relatives by the name of Millington and Pember. My mother was Sylvia Pearl Pember who died when I was 7 years old. When I started my research I found that I had several uncles and aunts that I did not know existed and would love to contact someone who could fill in some missing blanks. My grandmother was Ellen Matilds Postans who married Henry Pember; they produced several children. Then Ellen met William (?) Millington (don't think they were ever married as I cannot find any record) but Ellen had more children with him. It is a large family but I seem to have come to a dead end at the present and not sure where to go from here. If you have any ideas I woud be very grateful.
Thank you for your support.

Christine :-)

If you would like help it would be best to start your own thread

Hi Dickinson and welcome to the boards.

Why not start a thread of your own on find Living Relatives and people will chip in to try and help? Being dispassionate, they may be able to suggest routes you may not have considered.

Facts which would help with a search, assuming you have already found the basics

- Her name, place and year of birth and her mother's maiden name if known. Finding her siblings may lead to more recent contact details for her.
- The name she was using when you were born - if married the name of her spouse
- The year/area you were born. Many single mothers travelled away from their 'home' area for the last few months of pregnancy. On the other hand, you may know that she gave you up for adoption several months/years after the event.

You've probably already added your name to The Adoption Contact Register. If not, then that would be a good move.

https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records

Use this site to 'Search All Trees' for her on a regular basis. You never know, someone may have added her to their tree.

Once you've named her on this site, make sure that you keep GR updated with your current email address. If anyone with a mutual interest comes across your post through an internet search, they can use GR to send you a message even if you no longer subscribe.
