I am hoping this lady is still with us dorothy convery would be in her late 70's early 80's born in the 30's known as dot and moved to aus where her husband david yule (unsure of this spelling ) he joined the aussi forces back then .they have two sons one named callum born in the 50's .dot was mums bridesmaid and mum would love to hear from her or her family .i have a photo of her but cant find out how to attach it here .

no im sorry i don't .mum married in newcastle upon tyne where dot lived in 1952 , so i assume it was around tyne side she was single in 1952 and i think now that she possibly wed in the latter end of the 50s or early 60s she emigrated to auss after this .
so her boys must have been born in the 60s

her bother was andy /andrew. sorry mums memory is not as quick as it was .dots son was callum and i think the spelling is correct but may have been youle although mum says yule .i cant help thinking she may have married in austrailia .


sorry i just checked an old thread of mine form 3 years ago and dot had brothers thomas and andrew known as tom and andy david yule was born in england both sons joined the australian air force and last heard of dot in the melbourne area .still not found her or her boys

Not seeing a Callum birth where the mother's maiden name is Convery that fits.

Have you looked at freebmd to get accurate birth year info?

You can easily cross-refer births with the known siblings.......

There are births for an Andrew and a Dorothy with matching MMN

Have you tried to trace her siblings?

They would probably know about their sister..........

The only birth for a Callum with MMN Convery is much too late to be relevant

You might be better off putting "in Australia" in your title instead of "born 1932-40,Northumberland"

Sorry to say, she died in 1969 in Victoria. Her death is on Australia Death Index, 1787-1985 as Dorothy Yule. Father's name is Philip Convery which fits.

From the electoral rolls, she was living in Diamond Valley in 1968. This is close to Melbourne.

Please accept my apologies for not answering you quicker but my home town has very little broadband speed and i have not been able to get on here for a few days .
Thank you for all your help and searching .I am sorry if you feel i misled you in any way i had forgotten about my earlier search details for dorothy as it has been a couple of years since i was a memeber of gr i have only just re registered .


Dorothy was around mums age when she was mums bridesmaid mum was 20 years old when she married so i have assumed Dorothy would have been 18-22 ish .


I was hoping to find Dorothy fit and well in time for my parents 60th wedding annivesary (Diamond .)as mum wanted her to be there .They lost touch some years ago but did know Andy had died although not when .


I had been told and found the passenger listing for Dorothy but some one contacted me to say i had the wrong person .so i drew a blank from there . <3 :-)
