I am looking for my sister or her family. My mother's name was Phylis Evelyn Hayward (married names were Bond and then Thomas). Mum had a daughter and she was adopted I think, about the age of 3, to the Police Sergeant in Bath. She would probablly have been born around 1935/1940. Her name may have been either Margaret or Grace. If anyone knows of her whereabouts I would love to hear from them.
many thanks
Kenneth Thomas

I think you should look at the Hackney birth. There are no marriages in the area.

Why do you think that this girl was born to your mother? What is the source of the story?

Reposting the second marriage, which was on the deleted thread

Marriages Mar 1945 (>99%)
Bond Phyllis E Thomas Norton 5c 1098
Hayward Phyllis E Thomas Norton 5c 1098
Thomas David J Hayward Norton 5c 1098
Thomas David J Bond Norton 5c 1098

The 1944 birth for the Bond/Hayward boy was also registered under Thomas

I think you'd be wise to purchase the cert for the Hackney birth...if only to eliminate it

If, however, it does turn out that Phyllis is the mother..............don't assume that the named father is correct. As she was married, the assumption would be that her husband fathered any child she had.
