Have you tried looking for his brother David? you may need Scotlands People again.

The marriage of John seems to be on Scotlands people AND you can view and download the cert . She is listed as James M S Templeton

for info this is the record

I know its a long shot but i am trying to find anyone that is searching the smith family in Ayrshire last time i know it was the springside area but dont know if they are still there

my grandfather was born james smith born 1937 and died 1976 in canterbury kent i know of 1 brother called david templeton smith

His parents were john smith born 1915, and jamesina smith nee templeton

I know very little about this side of the family as he died when my mum was a teenager and would be great to hear from anyone that could give me more information
